So I finally tried making some simple stamps.
I had some puff paint and bottle tops on hand. (Just stuff I keep!)

I like how these turned out. I did have to 'build' up some of the images where the paint wasn't even. I also made several applications to some to define the shape.

Still searching for ways to create my own stamps, I thought of using foam place mats. Cutting out shapes and gluing them to bottle lids as a base. This idea evolved soon after the puff paint stamps were created.

I'm very, very happy with this technique. The images are more defined, there is almost no waiting from the time you cut out your image to the time when you can ink and stamp. I am able to create multi-image stamps.

Foam craft sheets could also be used, but I like the texture that the bottom of the place mat gives.

My limitation at this point is having large enough bases for my images.

I like being able to do larger images that will work well for card making, fabric printing and the like.
