I've Got SUPPLIES!

OK, I jumped!

Here are some pictures of some of the supplies I've gathered to create my altered book.

Used books and some interior pages
Used games and other supplies for various altered art projects

Magazine clippings of inspirational or quirky phrases

As I write this post, my first altered page is drying. I just doodled with colorful sharpie pens all over the page. The markers of course bled through a couple of pages, so I glued them together. I'll check tomorrow to see if the glue is dry, I'll post a photo of my official first page tomorrow!

Getting Ready

For more inspiration I've joined an Altered Book Group (Yahoo). There are so many great files full of ideas, pictures, supplies and they even offer a mentor program!!

I've had a couple of nice artists contact me from the group to offer encouragement and welcome.

I also purchased Somerset Studio magazine. (Mar/Apr 2009) I've admired this magazine for a good while now and finally bought one for my personal use. I'm waiting for a few hours of quiet (probably when Urban is at preschool) to sit with a glass of ice cold Diet Coke and immerse myself in the collected art.
